About Our Event

The idea for the Horsepower for Horses Charity Ride started with lifelong motorcycle enthusiast Michael Ross. “I first learned of Last Chance Coral from my daughter Lauren who has loved horses since she started walking. Through Lauren, I learned the sad truth of horse abuse and the practice of breeding horses simply so that the mother can be leased out as a nurse mare. This leaves hundreds or even thousands of foals every year to be sold at auction to slaughter houses.” Last Chance Corral offers hope, shelter, and the opportunity for a better life to horses in need of refuge.

“One Saturday afternoon I wandered into local motorcycle shop in Central Ohio looking for assistance and or sponsorship.” said Ross.” Next thing I know, we have assembled a team dedicated to the success of this ride with a sincere commitment to help the horses.”
